Once your appointment is confirmed just call the pharmacy when you are parked outside and our service members will conduct a no-cost, contactless COVID-19 testing for patients. While testing is conducted outside inside the pharmacy parking lot , vaccinations are performed inside the store. Results in 15 min or less for Rapid tests and within 24 hrs for PCR.

HOW DO WE TEST FOR COVID?

  • Rapid, point-of-care diagnostic tests use a mucus sample from the nose outside the facility parking lot where the sample is collected , analyzed and results may be available in minutes. These are antigen tests. You will be provided with your testing results documentation for you work travel or social event requirements. Appointment is NOT required. Call us when your outside the drugstore. Mention your car make color and method of payment. High Accuracy  98.75%.Rapid Antigen Covid test are accepted to cross the border to Canada and also with several airlines. The cost is  49 $ for rapid test with results within 15 minutes. A documentation will be provided to our employer or destination
  • We also work with a certified lab for PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction) testing. A PCR test for COVID-19 is a test used to diagnosis people who are currently infected with SARS-CoV-2, which is the coronavirus that causes COVID-19. The PCR test is the  the most accurate and reliable .Most people get their result the next day, but it may take up to 3 days. We accept most major insurances and also accept patients who do not have insurance. In most cases there is no cost for COVID testing. Please check with your insurance provider to see if there is any cost to you. Many insurers cover the cost of COVID-19 related PCR testing, however, for rapid tests please contact your insurance provider to determine coverage as costs can vary. Influenza (Flu)

Influenza (or “flu”) is an infection that is caused by the influenza virus. The influenza virus is most active during the winter months and can cause fever/chills, headaches, fatigue, muscle aches, runny/stuffy nose and cough in affected individuals. It is recommended that all persons aged 6 months and older should receive an annual influenza vaccination unless otherwise directed by their physician. The influenza vaccine is available in several different formulations like high dose for seniors that offer different routes of administration and also preservative-free options if you have egg allergies.

Pneumococcal (Pneumonia)

Pneumococcal disease is an infection caused by the streptococcus pneumoniae bacteria. Pneumococcal disease is often associated with causing pneumonia, but can also cause meningitis and blood infections in certain patient populations. There are two different pneumococcal vaccines that are needed in order for people to be protected against the many types of streptococcus pneumoniae that can cause infection. All persons aged 65 years and older are recommended to receive both the Prevnar13 ® and the Pneumovax23 ® pneumococcal vaccinations unless otherwise directed by their physician. For other aged patients, please contact your physician for further direction on whether you are eligible to receive these vaccinations.

Shingles






Shingles is a condition that is caused by the varicella-zoster virus which is the same virus that causes chickenpox. Varicella-zoster lies dormant in the spinal cord after one recovers from chicken pox but can reactivate later in life to shingles, which can have painful complications. All persons aged 60 years and older are recommended to receive the shingles vaccination, also known as Shingrix ®, unless otherwise directed by their physician.


Pertussis (Whooping Cough)

Pertussis, also commonly known as “whooping cough” is a very contagious respiratory infection caused by the bacteria bordetella pertussis. This condition can cause uncontrollable and violent coughing which can make it difficult to breath. It most commonly affects infants and children and can sometimes be fatal. All persons aged 18 years and older are recommended to receive this vaccination to not only protect themselves but also to prevent outbreaks in our younger population. Pertuss vaccine is available in a combination vaccine (along with tetanus and diphtheria) called Boostrix®.


Hepatitis A vaccine :


Our pharmacy in Livonia carries HAVRIX the hepatitis A vaccine. Hepatitis A vaccine is an inactivated (killed) vaccine for frequent travel. You will need 2 doses for long-lasting protection. These doses should be given at least 6 months apart.


Hepatitis B vaccine:


The hepatitis B vaccine is a safe and effective vaccine that is recommended for all infants at birth and for children up to 18 years. The hepatitis B vaccine is also recommended for adults living with diabetes and those at high risk for infection due to their jobs, lifestyle, living situations, or country of birth. Tetanus vaccine and tDAP vaccinations:


Our pharmacy also carries the tetanus vaccine like ADACEL Tdap .Tetanus vaccine, also known as tetanus toxoid, is an inactive vaccine used to prevent tetanus. During childhood five doses are recommended, with a sixth given during adolescence. Additional doses every 10 years are recommended.


HPV VACCINE:


We also administer GARDASIL®9 (Human Papillomavirus 9-valent Vaccine, Recombinant) helps protect individuals ages 9 to 45 against the following diseases caused by 9 types of HPV: cervical, vaginal, and vulvar cancers in females, anal cancer, certain head and neck cancers, such as throat and back of mouth cancers and genital warts in both males and females.


Meningitis vaccine:



We administer MENVEO , a vaccine used for active immunisation of children (from 2 months of age), adolescents and adults to prevent invasive disease caused by Neisseria meningitidis serogroups A, C, W-135 and Y. The use of this vaccine should be in accordance with the official recommendations.
Meningitis is an infection of the spinal fluid and the tissues that surround the brain. Of the microbes that cause meningitis, one of the most severe is Neisseria meningitidis (meningococcus). Meningococcal meningitis is an infectious disease that is spread from person to person. It is a very serious disease that is sometimes fatal, and may cause permanent physical and neurological damage among survivors.


Typhoid vaccine:


We administer Typhim Vi Active immunization of persons two years of age or older for the prevention of typhoid fever caused by Salmonella typhi. Vaccines protect travelers from serious diseases. Depending on where you travel, you may come into contact with diseases that are rare in the United States, like yellow fever. Some vaccines may also be required for you to travel to certain places.






Testing for TB infection:


The TB skin test is performed by injecting a small amount of fluid (called tuberculin) into the skin on the lower part of the arm. ... Positive skin test: This means the person's body was infected with TB bacteria. Additional tests are needed to determine if the person has latent TB infection or TB disease. We provide convenient, walk-in TB testing for those required to have it for work or at increased risk of becoming infected. TB testing is a two part test, where part one is a TB test placement and part two is a TB test reading
